Off Topic - well, not really!

I'll be the first to admit I am an NPR junkie; I absolutely love the program, and while listening to Radio West present some of the continued mindless banterings of Bush & Co. and Kerry & Co., I finally have decided enough is enough! I suppose I am really putting myself out there, but I am sick and tired of the eternal semi antic bashings; doesn’t it seem a little strange that the “man” (emphasis added as satire) or “man to be” spend the majority of their time and energy insulting, and arguing with each other, attacking, falsifying, demeaning, abusing, slighting, and slurring the truth and name of one another all in the “just” cause and in the name of democracy and protecting our American Heritage. I am sorry (Canadian accent included), but I don’t recall being “proud to be an American” because the figure head of my country seems to enjoy and find satisfaction, (while wasting precious time, money, and resources) attacking another individual. I can’t remember one single lesson being taught either in Sunday school, by my parents, or in or by any other ethical arena where such abuse was acceptable. Are not these men supposed to set a standard and precedent we as a nation can lookup to? For the first time in my life I am a little embarrassed to have witnessed and be part of the political proceedings of late. I want to vote for a president who actually respects others. Yes, respect: in word, deed, and even thought. “Kerry, Bush, you want my vote” you say, well, quit acting the fool, man-up, and start practicing those qualities all Americans actual desire in a President, the traits of respect, honor, integrity, and truth. Best of luck, see you in 4!
