A great religious site!

Even if you don't consider yourself a very religious or spiritual person, you must admit that Joseph Smith (the founder and 1st modern day prophet of the Latter-day Saint faith) was an incredible man. 2005 marks the bicentennial of Joseph Smith's birth and 175 years since the Restoration; during this year there has been much written about him and what he accomplished. This week in various locations around the world many members of the L.D.S faith will be putting on various performances celebrating this man and their faith. Even if you don't consider yourself very interested in faith or religion it might be worth your time to do a little research re: Joseph Smith. Both Time magazine and PBS mentioned Joseph Smith in their listing of the top most influential people in American History. In addition at the Library of Congress this past May 2005, the Library of Congress cosponsored by BYU put on a two day academic conference celebrating the life and accomplishments of Joseph Smith. If you look at his life and realized what he went through you will appreciate his strength of personality, leadership abilities, love for others and country, and unwavering faith. If for no other reason than simple historical curiosity I would recommend checking out this new website dedicated to him - it has a free to download mp3 of his life, and provides several other interesting links re: his life.
