This comic drawn by Mark Parisi, the artist of “Off the Mark,” I feel adequately represents the far reaching influence of google. Currently I am doing a research project on the information literacy skills and habits of incoming freshmen at BYU. Thus far the qualitative data has shown that the majority of the students will first turn to google for research answers and information before using the many databases of BYU's formable library. It's true google is a great tool, but better than a library, and it’s amazingly critiqued focused resources?! I'll write more on this later. If you have any feedback or insight please add your comments re: this topic. I would appreciate any interesting finds and or references.
