It's time to walk the walk
As sad as it sounds, I don't think I have been walking the walk, despite talking the talk; during the Fall and Winter semesters I invited the pre-service teachers I worked with to use Blogs and RSS feeds as tools for professional development, peer collaboration, and critical reflection. However, I must admit at the end of the semester, despite being aware of the need to constantly reflect on my practice ( I am currently doing research on how teacher’s can more effectively critically reflect), I have stopped posting and conceptually reflecting - perhaps I can excuse my lapse of posting on the fact that I am not currently teaching, but to be honest I am reading more professional journals and RSS feeds than before yet I am failing to reflect on what I am reading and doing in my research. In an effort to remedy this, I will start posting some of what I have been reading and working on – hopefully in an effort to make things a little more clear for myself, and perhaps to get a little feedback from you (my audience). So if there does happen to be someone out there who happens across my Blog this Spring or Summer, don't worry I will be posting and reflecting on what I am reading (via RSS feeds, journals, books, etc) and doing re: my Ph.D. research, and would invite any feedback you have.
