ITEA and TECA: San Antonio

I must admit, I had a great time at ITEA in San Antonio; this was due in large part to our wonderful students. From Weds. through Sat., 19 of our TTE students attended this years ITEA and TECA conference with Dr. Shumway, Dr. Berrett, and I. We attended several sessions together, furthering our understanding and skill use of various technological issues, while competing in five separate engineering, teaching, and communication competitions. Our students did quite well in the various competitions, placing 1st in the pedagogy and teaching challenge, 2nd in one of the engineering challenges, and 3rd in another. We also placed 4th in the quiz bowl - although, really we should have placed first (we answered of the questions with the right answer but were graded incorrect.) I was proud of how our students carried themselves, they were stellar representatives of both our department and BYU. I am equally proud to have the opportunity to work with and beside each one of these students. Here are a few photos (pics and pics2 ) from the trip.
