No, it's not really an exam; it's more like a project. And don't worry it'll be fun, and you'll learn a lot from it (at least that's what my mom would say). I just finished adapting it and the rubric can be found at:
http://msed.byu.edu/ipt/wright/final.html
Everyone should go there and check it out. In fact, you might as well start working on it. Again, the basic premise is to create a lesson plan (if you don't know how there are examples found at the website linked to above, and or search online) which teaches, by integrating technology, a core content lesson (as prescribed by state standards).
Remember to be creative, and to try and use your ingenuity to come up with an idea which was not discussed in class, and which will be new to most. (The technologies can range from GPS units to teach a geography portion; yes I have access to some, so if you want one contact me, to laser engraving)! It sounds like great fun to me. The final product should be a .doc, HTML, or .ppt deliverable. Upload it to Blackboard (however, you might want to bring a backup to class).
You will present your lesson plan in a teaching format to a group of your peers during the normal scheduled Final Exam hour of our class: Tuesday, December 14
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
See you next week in class!
