As I was doing a little research on technology integration I came across a study performed in the 60's concerning Early Childhood education, which in fact has recently once again taken a front-line on today's educational discussion board. The study analyzed and found that preschool is one the most significantly important cognitive and behavioral influences on an individuals growth and development process. It proposes that if a student participates in an effective preschool class and curriculum, he or she will be more intellectually capable in future endeavors. The study found that pre-school participants graduated from highschool and later from college more often than students who did not attend preschool. It was also found that preschool students had fewer learning deficiencies and behavioral problems (even less drug addictions, etc.) than those who didn't participate in similar programs.
In light of these findings, you have an important role to prepare yourselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to help you become an effective teacher, and positive influence on those students you teach. I believe the understanding and ability to integrate technology will only enhance and augment your knowledge, abilities, and skills in this endeavor.

This study is very interesting to me. In several states now preschool is part of the elementary schools, most of these programs are not manditory, but are allows over flowing. I was a preschooler many years ago and I can remember some of the events we did. Preschool was the place that I learned to love school---yes I did say love, even though at times I don't like school now.
